DO NOT put your in the dishwasher.
A dishwasher produces a lot of steam and heat. This combination causes the pores of the wood to open and absorb water, which will cause tremendous everlasting damage to your new board. It will warp and possibly crack as well as weaken the wood. It will also warp your epoxy due to the extreme heat.
DO NOT let it soak in water.
If you leave your board in water for too long, it will absorb too much water at a slower rate but will have the same damaging effects as putting it into the dishwasher.
DO NOT use a cooking oil, such as vegetable or olive oil.
These oils will build up bacteria, which will cause your board to smell.
DO NOT let the the board sit in direct sunlight. It will warp the epoxy and/or the wood.

DO wipe down with a damp cloth.
Use a small amount of soap, if necessary.
In the case of soap, less is better. The soap will break down the natural oils of the wood as well as the added oil treatment. Should you use too much soap or use soap frequently, you will need to oil your resin board on a regular basis.
DO dry immediately after washing.
Again, water is damaging to wood.
DO treat it with a food friendly oil or wax.
Your board requires oil to stay strong and vibrant. The more you use and wash your board, the more the natural oils broken down. Replenishing those oils will preserve your board. If your board seems dull, it’s time to re-oil. *Beeswax oil or Walrus Oil are great options.

Clean board with salt and lemon (or lime).
Cut a Lemon or Lime in half. Liberally sprinkle salt on your board. Using the Lemon as a pad, rub the lemon over the salt on the board. The salt acts as a scrub to remove persistent stains. The lemon is a natural disinfectant and deodorizer.
Rinse with hot water. Dry immediately.

**The resin does not require any special care. However, if used as a cutting board, it will obtain cut marks just like the wood will. You can rub the oil over the resin to give it a little extra vibrancy – it will not damage it.
